sunpor capacity expansion in line with market upswing
sunpor is responding to the continuing strong market development for EPS and plans to increase production capacity by a further 30,000 tons per year.
Due to the strong growth in demand for EPS over the past months, SUNPOR Kunststoff GmbH is planning to increase its production capacity for EPS beads by an additional 30,000 tons per year.
With a total capacity of 260,000 tons per year, sunpor will ensure the raw material supply of its customers also in the future and thus permanently accompany the growing EPS market.
The implementation phase for the expansion is scheduled for 6 to 8 months and is expected to be completed in the 2nd quarter of 2022.

sunpor CEO Roman Eberstaller sees the decision to increase capacity also supported by the broad commitment of politics and society to effective climate protection: "The European Green Deal is an important impulse for the implementation of urgently needed climate protection measures on a broad front. sunpor-EPS can make an important contribution to energy saving and CO2 reduction here, especially in the area of building insulation."
