Modility – Smart portal for intermodal transport options
sunpor has teamed up with leading companies in the transport and logistics sector to support the establishment of Modility, a new portal to find and book intermodal and combined transport solutions. Modility is a start-up company that makes it so much easier to use environmentally friendly combined transport solutions with the aid of an open, independent and intuitive booking platform.
Modility was set up as an independent corporate spin-off of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) with a view to give a boost to the market for intermodal logistics. The start-up company has developed a digital platform in cooperation with shippers, freight forwarders and operates with the aim of providing support for market participants along the entire logistics chain in the future.
The Modility portal is currently being enhanced and tested with project partners in preparation for its launch in autumn 2020. In its position as a development partner, sunpor is involved in the design and testing process, helping to create the user-oriented online portal which will both simplify and promote the booking and use of combined transport in the future. sunpor is keen to support this sustainable approach to logistics given that intermodal / combined transport solutions also come with considerable environmental benefits.
