Sunpor triples Grey-EPS Capacity (Update) | |
ST. PÖLTEN, 14th APRIL 2011 Sunpor, Europe’s third largest EPS* Producer, is seizing the opportunity offered by the broad trend towards grey EPS in the building insulation market. Grey EPS exhibits insulation values which show a considerable advantage over those obtained with conventional white EPS. Sunpor has independently developed the technology for grey EPS Manufacture in Austria. Lambdapor® - the grey product made by Sunpor - is equipped with infra-red blockers based on graphite and is highly valued as a premium product in the grey EPS market segement, offering up to 30 % improved insulation. International Technology Leader “We claim the leading technology position internationally with Lambdapor®, and consequently wish to protect and advance our status”, says Sunpor’s Managing Director Franz Schmitzberger. “We are well-placed to serve a market which is moving unstoppably in the direction of the use of grey material.” 265,000 tons per annum from 2013 By 2013 the company’s production capability for Lambdapor® will have tripled, with the purpose of satisfying this strongly rising demand with continuous high value technology. Orders have already been placed for additional production units. From 2013 Sunpor will produce around 170,000 tons grey EPS per annum. Within the same time frame the company’s total annual output – including white EPS – will rise to about 260,000 tons. |
