The creation of a further 45 jobs. The most modern production techniques under strict environmental standards. There is plenty of action at the building site in Radlberg, near St. Pölten, where Sunpor’s additional facility for EPS production and raw material storage and trans-shipment will be situated. The mountains of earth, the movement of heavy goods vehicles, and the activity of gangs of building workers are all manifestations of a 50 million Euro investment. | ||
Construction Status – August 2008 Construction work continues to proceed as planned. The new site′s logistics terminal has already been commissioned. The entire Styrene Monomer requirements for the main site in St. Pölten will from now on be transferred by the main railway network via the newly connected rail link. This already has positive environmental consequences; by this measure Sunpor has been able to reduce the number of kilometers travelled by road goods vehicles delivering raw material by around two-thirds. The reactor building is now technically complete, and the roof of the neighbouring downstream hall will very soon be installed. The pipeline gantries for the smooth transfer of material around the production area have been mounted. The technical equipment of the site and the construction of the storage halls have both commended. • Details and Pictures of the building progress ![]() ![]() |
